   DETOX FOOT SPA

How it works.

The Platinum Energy Detox process makes use of the body's own natural functions and works by energising the water to attract positive and negative ions from both the body and the water. When the machine is turned on the array emits a Bio-Energetic Resonance that travels through the water and the body. Over 2000 pores in the existing membrane of the sebaceous and eccrine glands of the foot remove by-products of excretion - which includes toxins. As the Bio-Energetic Field in the body restores and rebalances, you see improvements in the regulating supply of nutrients and oxygen to the tissues, thus allowing a greater level of waste product to be excreted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why detox the body?

We are subjected to more environmental toxins on a daily basis than our bodies are capable of keeping up with. Through a constant bombardment of heavy metals, synthetic chemicals, hormones and other pollutants found in the foods we eat, the air we breath, the water we drink and the products we use, the body's inability to keep up with elimination ultimately leads to a weakend immune system and eventually disease. You can see this visually on a pH strip as toxins tend to be acidic and reduce the pH balance. A foot detox session helps the body rebalance itself, improve pH levels and increase energy levels.

How do toxins build up?

View your body as a filter. Toxins build up over time. Even though the body has a natural ability to eliminate what it cannot use, when more toxins enter than can be eliminated, it becomes clogged and efficient functioning is decreased. It becomes essential to assist the body in restoring balance at this point.

Cosmetics are currently below the radar when it comes to identifying toxins. TEA (triethanolamine), DEA (diethanolamine), and MEA (monoethanolamine) are commonly used in cosmetics in the USA. Their use is restricted in Europe as they are known carcinogens. Almost 50% of cosmetics containing ethoxylated surfactants were found to contain dioxane, a carcinogen. Most shampoos contain Sodium or Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate. These substances caused eye damage and central nervous system depression to animals that were exposed to it.

The skin is the largest organ in our body and because it is permeable it easily absorbs toxins. The scalp is especially permeable to toxins. Consider the numbers of toxic chemicals you put in your hair to color, shampoo, condition, and treat it.

How often should I use this system?

It is recommended that this system be used either once a week for the first six weeks or twice a week for the first three weeks. Sessions should be spaced no closer than once every three days. A maintenance program of one session per month or bi-monthly is often sufficient. You will be able to determine the appropriate maintenance schedule by how you feel.

It is beneficial to drink plenty of water during and after your session to keep yourself hydrated. It is important to always drink sufficient amounts of water on a daily basis... as water helps cleanse the body.

What can I expect to feel?

As each person's level of toxicity is different, their experience will be just as unique. Some people have felt tired following a session due to the release of toxins. Others have felt rejuevenated, clear-headed, immediate pain relief and an over-all feeling of well-being. Still others, have felt nothing at all. Again, it is personal and unique to the individual.

Can everyone use the system?

No.

It is recommended that people who are ill, go through the detox process at a slower pace. Because detoxification continues after a session has ended, sufficent time may be necessary for the body to adjust to the elimination of toxins.

It is extremely important to drink water during and after a detoxification session, as dehydration is a common denominator of disease.

The following are contraindications for those considering a foot detox session.

  • People with pacemakers
  • People who have had organ transplants
  • People who suffer from psychotic episodes or seizures
  • People with epilepsy
  • During pregnancy or lactation
  • Open wounds on feet
  • Children under the age of 5 years old.

Why does the water change colour?

Salt, water, array coil, and sweat combine to effect the color of the water. This is a normal process. The color will vary according to the chemistry found in the water. The variation of colors is fascinating but it is the internal effects that are important, not what is happening externally in the water. The color of the water is not the definitive indicator of the session.

There are many elements that contribute to the color of the water... also the color of the water varies from person to person. What is important is how you feel? Individual analysis of the water after the process is the only possible way to determine what is present in the water, plus the water would have to be analyzed prior to the treatment to determine what chemicals already exist in the water.

What waste products are expelled by the sweat glands in the feet?

“Eccrine sweat is produced via merocrine secretion in the coiled gland, and is composed of water, sodium, potassium lactate, urea, ammonia, serine, ornithine, citrulline, aspartic acid, heavy metals, organic compounds, and proteolytic enzymes. Eccrine sweat then passes through the acrosyringium and is deposited on the skin surface.”

Goldsmith, L.A. “Biology of eccrine and apocrine sweat glands.” In I.M. Freedburg, A.Z. Eisen, K. Wolff, et al, eds. Fitzpatrick's Dermatology in Internal Medicine. 5th ed. New York: McGraw-Hill, 1999: chap 11.

Will it remove medications from my body?

No.

Only toxins are removed from the sweat glands in your feet. Vitamins, minerals and medications are not excreted.

How long does a session last?

A foot detox session is timed at 30 minutes.
